Marshmallows in the Field

I love, love, love spending time driving around farmland. I'm always so happy to see cows and horses and barns and endless grass. One of my favorite things about summer is when the farmers start cutting and drying and rolling their grass up for hay. Seeing these huge marshmallows of hay hanging out randomly in fields screams "summer's here!".

Marshmallows in the Field
I was driving around the back roads of Snohomish, Washington last week and these six rolls perfectly lined up in front of an old barn caught my eye. It was about 6:30 in the evening and the light was just beautiful. There were insane clouds in the sky and in a few places, the sun was still doing it's best to shine through. I was just fantastic.
